The 4th day of editing was our last day of editing. This is where we imported the last pieces of footage and changed anything that we wanted. We eventually cut down our movie to 1:56, which was perfect to fit in the allowed 2:00.
Firstly we imported the new footage we had. Most of the new footage was mainly to replace the clips we already had. Some clips that we films were not better than the original so we did not import them and kept the old ones. This was mainly due to lighting problems as were filming at night. We fixed this problem with some pieces of footage by changing the lighting.
Next we thought about what clips to cut as our opening scene was still too long. We found a clip that was 15 seconds long that did not advance the plot so we decided to cut it out all together. Also we found out that there was too much walking involved so we sped up one of the walking scenes to cut off a few seconds.
Lastly we touched up a few other aspects of the movie, one of them being the two pieces of music at the start of the opening scene. We did not feel that alternating between two pieces of music flowed well so we deleted them and found a new piece of music. We decided to only have one piece of music playing throughout the flashbacks and the present day and after doing so we were happy.
